About Us

The Promoters

In shaping the future of the students, the institution building experience of the promoters plays a vital role. Dr. Thomas Cangan, a well known educationist of Rajasthan and a visiting professor of Management to various institutions in India, Europe, USA and Australia was the main promoter of the college. IIRM and its network of institutions have also been promoted by him. These institutions are known for their excellence in education and international networking as his endeavor was not only to produce excellent results but also to create an admirable framework for developing life skills and excellence to transform the potential of young ones into reality.

The present Era is witnessing three main forces – Globalization, Liberalization and Privatization which have great impact in all phases of development in economic, industrial, managerial, academic and technical spheres.

In this context, the quality of education and educational institutions play a significant role as they are the tools for all kinds of social, scientific and economic development. They enlighten the destiny of the Nation. That is why; education has become a multidimensional concept.

The Society of Indian Institute of Rural Management (SIIRM) is a network of institutions engaged in the field of education, research, management, rural development, engineering and health.

With a vision in mind and mission in heart for imparting quality education at the college level, the Roman Catholic Missionary Cangan Family from South India established St. Xavier’s P.G. College, Phagi in 2004. In addition to this, the SIIRM is committed to the cause of imparting quality education almost at all levels be it school or college education, general or professional, ministerial or technical and has also been running an Engineering College, a Public School, a Teachers Training College, a Nursing College and a Hospital.

Location and the college campus

St. Xavier’s P.G. College is located on State Highway No. 12 Jaipur – Phagi – Malpura and is easily accessible. The campus is approximately 15 kms from Rohini scheme of JDA. The grandeur of the campus is felt the moment one enters it. The sprawling complex is spread over an area of 65 acres with lush green surroundings. The lake, lawns and playfields add to the beauty. With a temple, sports fields, swimming pool, horse riding facility, open air cinema and skating court with mini stadium, the campus is self sufficient and has acquired the status of self contained mini educational township. The rural ambience of the college is very conducive for promoting the ideology of simple living, for imbibing and internalizing the values of self-reliance and tolerance.
The College is fully dedicated to excellence and innovation. Looking towards global advancement, it offers a wide variety of almost all subjects of Humanities, Commerce and Science. Being committed to academic excellence, the management is providing all facilities required for studies – pollution free and peaceful atmosphere, qualified and experienced faculty, library and other amenities. To ease the mind, co- curricular activities are taken care of.
